😊 Thank You Ward 2!
My team and I have knocked over 12,000 doors this campaign! It wasn't until we had spoken with the first 2,500 residents that I put this platform together, based on the conversations we had and the feedback we received. This was deliberate, because my campaign is about YOUR concerns and ensuring your voices are heard. We've heard about many issues, but the four listed below were overwhelmingly the top four issues raised by residents.
Rising costs are hitting families, seniors, and young people hard. I know that municipal decisions can make life either more expensive or more manageable.
That’s why I’ll advocate for fair property taxes, responsible budgeting, and investments that deliver real value for residents. My goal is to keep Strathcona County a place where people can thrive without being priced out.
Residents deserve safe neighbourhoods and streets. I’ll work with County staff, community members, and local RCMP to improve traffic safety and ensure our social infrastructure keeps pace with growth.
Public safety has always been a top priority for me, and I’ll continue to support initiatives that make people feel safe where they live, work, and play.
As chair of an affordable seniors housing organization in the county, I know firsthand the challenges older residents face. I will champion accessible housing options, ensure recreation facilities and programs are inclusive, and support multi-generational community hubs where seniors can stay active and connected.
I also believes in investing in recreation opportunities for all ages, because a strong community is one where people of every generation feels supported.
Good governance isn’t just about reacting to problems — it’s about preparing for the future. I’ll bring a long-term perspective that balances growth with livability, ensuring infrastructure, housing, and recreation planning meet the needs of future generations.
I believe in long-term investment strategies that protect taxpayers while building a strong, sustainable community. By leading with experience, I will ensure Strathcona County continues to be a place people are proud to call home.
While these are the top priorities residents have shared, what really matters is having the experience to get them done.
When I retired from the Edmonton Police Service, I was an Inspector responsible for a division of 150 officers. In my business career, I’ve managed teams from 5 to 500 people and overseen budgets worth hundreds of millions of dollars. I’ve also served on over a dozen boards — chairing about half of them — and led complex organizations through change while protecting the quality of service people rely on.
A mentor of mine once said, “The best predictor of future success is past success.”
I believe that experience matters — and that it’s exactly what I can bring to Strathcona County Council to deliver real results for residents.
Drop me an email or give me a call! I want to hear what else is important to you as a voter. Our community thrives when every voice is heard, and every perspective considered,
